Jayme L Peta MA Growth - Strength - Wholeness Interview

Name of your website?

Jayme L Peta MA Growth - Strength - Wholeness

Your name?

Jayme L Peta

Your Location (city, etc)

Boulder, Colorado

Please give us a short summary of your website?

www.jaymepeta.com is the website for my private psychotherapy practice. It gives information on the kind of psychotherapy I offer, what populations I see, where my office is located & offers resource links to visitors.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted to attract clients and I also wanted to offer anyone interested a set of helpful links on mental health.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

www.jaymepeta.com was my first website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I thought using my own name made sense because that way people are likely to remember my name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I offer a unique blend of compassion and practical psychotherapy and my site reflects this. Rather than just being an ad, it offers information on what psychotherapy is used for and gives helpful resources on how to go about choosing a psychotherapist and how to deal with mental health concerns. I believe that being a psychotherapist is more than just seeing clients. I wish to help people improve their lives whether that involves seeing me in private practice or not

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My website will be kept for as long as my private practice is going. It is more of a tool for me than something that I would sell (or that anyone would want to buy!)

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have spent very little on this site and if it helps a client find me or find other resources, it was 100% worth it!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would make it more unique and offer more complicated resources such as self-assessment quizzes. Also, I'd like to offer more extensive, changing information such as interviews with people who have overcome mental illness, new data from a psychiatrist, updated articles from me on accessing mental health and working with mental health challenges.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Nope. But, my site won't get really big!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None, really.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Figuring out how to host my site & what content to include so that it makes sense to the average visitor. Also, making sure it appeals to many people, and not just one community or population has been hard.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Posting my services on other websitees.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I thought more people would just flock to it!

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have had for five months. I will keep it for as long as I have a practice.

What would your ideal situation be for your website

I'd love it to be a place where (eventually) people can return to access resources they need -- both local resources and information that is helpful. I'd like it to be linked to enough places that when someone is looking for a psychotherapist in Boulder, they find me!
