By Interviewer at 02/03/08 21:08

Name of your website?

Steve B. Reed, LPC, LMSW, LMFT -- Dallas Counseling & Psychotherapy

Your name?

Steve B. Reed, LPC, LMSW, LMFT

Your Location (city, etc)

Richardson

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Psychotherapy-center.com provides interesting articles regarding psychology and personal growth. Specializing in leading-edge therapies, Steve B. Reed, LPC, LMSW, LMFT is the developer of the REMAP process and Quick REMAP. These innovations in psychotherapy enable people to rapidly resolve traumatic events, anxiety, phobias and traumatic grief. The website provides articles and resources for self-help with Quick REMAP

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The awareness that many people can be helped through the written insights and experience that I have gained over 35 years of helping people through my social work and psychotherapy career has lead me to provide psychotherapy-center.com as a resource.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

1997--It was psychotherapy-center.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The URL, www.psychotherapy-center.com, was chosen because it clearly stated the nature of the site. My name & professional credentials, Steve B. Reed, LPC, LMSW, LMFT, along with Dallas Counseling & Psychotherapy further express who I am, where I work and what I do to help people.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

As the developer of the REMAP process and Quick REMAP, two leading-edge treatment methods for easing the suffering of traumatic events, PTSD, anxiety attacks, phobias and traumatic grief, my site is the home of information regarding recent developments in those fields. In addition, my site is content rich with useful articles related to personal growth and the treatment of mental health issues.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The site is foremost dedicated to informing the public with regard to my work in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. It is and will continue to be a resource for emotional well-being and healing.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

?

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

?

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

?

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

?

What has been your biggest challenge?

?

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It requires more time, effort and energy. In a way it is like a living book that is ever evolving.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

11 years. The rest of my life.

What is your website address?

Steve B. Reed, LPC, LMSW, LMFT -- Dallas Counseling & Psychotherapy
