Effective non-pharmaceutical treatment of mental health. Depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders. Also, autism, epilepsy, needs of children. Not for profit information website

What inspired you to launch your own website?

A great need for solution oriented and prevention information in the field of mental health. An overeliance on pharmaceuticals today, and children have special needs.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Same website, different host, website has evolved over the past 1 1/2 years

How did you decide on a name for your website?

felt winmentalhealth was easy to remember

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

There are not too many websites for mental health that are non-pharmaceutical based and none which deal with lifestyles as oppossed to nutrition and supplements.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep it for information, expand, prehaps a launching pad for a scheduled book in July 2008

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

There has been no profit at all, only expense.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Reformat and get it on the top 10 of the major browsers

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

It wouldn't be a problem

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

not too many, need to pay to have site redone, 600 at least.

What has been your biggest challenge?

getting more and consistent traffic

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

directories and browsers

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I really had no idea.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

1 1/2 years, at least 3-5 years.
