An online biography and information about Hypnotherapy.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
When I launched my business, I knew I needed a website so that I could be found by people searching for hypnotherapy on the web.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched Adsolution Consulting a few years ago (adsolution.ca). This was a small business marketing and web design company. Since then I have sold it and studied hypnotherapy
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I decided on a name based on what was available as a domain name too. I wanted it to be the same so it was something easy to remember.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
My location is different. There are a lot of hypnotherapists in the larger cities in BC, like Vancouver and Surrey, but there are not any others in the town of Chilliwack. I serve the people out here so that they don't have to drive into the big city!
What do you feel is the most important page on your website?
The "about me" page. I think that its imperative to give people some idea of who they will be contacting and provide a nice photo so that they know the person they are contacting is "normal". I recommend mayan photography for people needing photos in the vancouver, the fraser valley, or chilliwack area.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I consider success in helping people, not in a financial measurement compared to the amount I invested. I feel successful in that I am helping people overcome their fears and issues with hypnotherapy.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would not change my site. It is not a sales tool for me... just a way to send some information to the customer before they call me and decide whether or not to meet with me.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
It's not really that type of site..
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really. I like my job and my web designer... adsolution.ca... and my photographer, http://www.mayanphoto.com... she is really good with vancouver wedding photography, and portraits of kids and cats. She did a great job of my photograph in her photography studio. She did wonderful wedding photos of my daughters wedding! No headaches!
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting other sites to link to me because it's a really time consuming task.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Getting links so people can find my website.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Since I've already had a website business before, this did not differ from my expectations.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had this site since I started my business. I will continue to run it as long as I have my hypnotherapy buisness in Chilliwack.
What is the most common question you get?
So, are you going to make me cluck like a chicken? Answer: NO AND Will I remember everything? Answer: Yes
